In all honesty I think he has no interest in any relationship sexually, since he is more interested in completing his mission, you wouldn't see him chasing girls or guys for that matter

I don't know, on one hand, he keeps wanting to marry Christa, but everyone loves Christa, and then on the other he went and said that to Ymir, but I also hold little value to it, given the situation. Reminds me of when I let people believe I am a lesbian, even though I am not, cause of some things I might say from time to time.

But other than that, this manga doesn't seem to have an issue with homosexuality. (Ymir and Christa) so I wouldn't be too surprised if he did end up being gay. His "marry me" thing to Christa must have been comic relief, since now, we know that clearly, he didn't intend to stick to human culture long enough to marry at ALL. In fact, I'll go out on a limb and say that whatever plan Annie, Reiner and Berthold have involving Ymir and Eren would ensure that there was NO possible way to assimilate into human culture at ALL.

But there's a lot about this series that doesn't make sense. Like, Reiner was so suspicious when he found out that Ymir could read the titan letters, but he's a titan himself. Ymir is well known, being worshiped by a deviant class of titan, and I'm sure Reiner would know OF her at least. But nope. Makes you wonder about the direction this manga is taking.

And I think he was merely surprised at the aspect that there was other people who can shift from Titan to Human asides from himself, Bert, Annie and Eren

Very much so. I was actually thinking about it earlier. The Titan that seemed to worship Ymir was a particularly small size, and so is Ymir. Maybe she's...I dunno, their teeny goddess or something.

But I think the size classification has something to do with it. It may not determine what intelligence a titan may have (if any....) but it is probably an indication of subtype. Plus, Reiner, Bert, Annie and Eren all take on VASTLY different Titan forms. Annie and Eren's being the most human like (in Annie's case, almost 100% anatomically correct, minus the intimate bits) and the most human in the face. Bert, tallest, but also skinless. Very little defense there and Reiner a bit more compact, and, of course, armored.

I wonder if they represent the different subforms of titans....and coming from the same village sounds a little odd to me since they're SO different. Maybe the three (with family?) were strays that found their way to the village. I doubt they're native being so variant.

But uh yeah...Reiner's homosexuality. I can support it. <3

Ok,this is different than what i read, and this makes it look like Reiner is NOT gay to me. Because of the way he phrased the response...and its diffenrent since it was not him that said it, it was Ymir while he just agreed...
Or maybe I do mental gymnastics like that person said.

Also, every man seeing her as a goddess means eren does too....hmm


Also, I don't see why two comments on marriage are a joke but one comment like that that can be taken as proof of being gay is not.

@Titan Talk: I doubt Ymir was from the same village as the trio. If they had known she was a Titan at ALL then she'd either be in on their schemes (which I doubt from Ymir's panic at being found out to read Titan letters) or had been a target from the get-go.

@Gay Talk: I really think that Reiner IS gay. Ymir's obvious relaxation at him was proof enough for me after she accused him of being a perv. And his reaction about Christa also make sense. It's understandable why she's seen as a sort of goddess. Plainly put, she's beautiful, but also so wholeheartedly kind (because she wants to be known as wonderful, probably not because she's such a selfless sweetie) it's impossible not to be drawn to her in such a bleak world. Moths go to flame, and whether the moths are gay or straight, the flame is beacon of hope rather than a person, and I think that's Christa in a nutshell.

As far as I know, he never wrote anything about that.Even the date on the tumblr rumor about it, is wrong.Isayama's last enter on the blog was on May 18th and the next on May 30th. If I am not mistaken, the tumblr post was saying that he wrote that on May 20th ,right?
